The African Culture Fund is an initiative that defends the desire of a continent to write new narratives and take its rightful place on the world stage through the voice of its unique culture.

In fact, the sources of funding for culture remain fluctuating, uncertain and dispersed in Africa despite the efforts made by African governments and the sector’s financial partners (foundations, international organizations, etc.). This situation makes the activity of funding culture very complex, both for financial partners and for project carriers. The creation of a continental instrument for funding art and culture therefore becomes a priority for Africa.
Thus ACF was born in February 2018 in Bamako with the dual function, not only of helping to professionalize the sector, but also that of being an agitator and instigator for the creation of a local African philanthropy by stimulating private sector investment from the continent in the field of culture..
